Apprentice Fortune rode his 20th winner on ROYAL CHIAN in the 4th Race at Kenilworth on 23 January 2016 and will now claim a 2,5kg apprentice allowance until his 40th winner. PRINCE OF EDEN stumbled shortly after the start. MOONLIGHT RUNNER threw its head down as the start was effected losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. AL WAHED raced in Club Colours. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported that PRINCE OF EDEN did not stride out freely in running. In view of the performance from PERCIVAL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Jockey Dillon was charged with a contravention, in that he rode the gelding PIGEON FLYER in an unprofessional manner by dropping his crop at about the 100m. Jockey Dillon signed an Admission of Guilt for the penalty of a Warning. MOONLIGHT RUNNER, which was hanging out, made contact with FIRE MASTER, which shifted in slightly at the 150m. FIRE MASTER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PRINCE OF EDEN and PERCIVAL - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. CARDINAL - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise.
