TOMBA LA BOMBA was slow losing three lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. The off time of this race was rescheduled due to the delay in the Race 11. FRIENDLY TIBBS became tightened for galloping room at about the 300m between SHEER TROUBLE and CATSIDE SLEW. TOMBA LA BOMBA eased at about the 250m off the heels of CATSIDE SLEW, which shifted in away from the crop. Jockey Byleveld reported that TOMBA LA BOMBA did not stride out freely in running. Jockey Behr reported that MAMBO MIME did not stride out freely in running. In view of the performances from FRIENDLY TIBBS and CATSIDE SLEW, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings on their return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. BARITONE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Veale rode AS YOU LIKE. Jockey Lerena left the racecourse without seeing the Medical Officer. This report will be investigated. Apprentice Fortune, claiming a 2,5kg apprentice allowance, rode TRUE MASTER. The Club's Medical Officer stood down Jockey Strydom on medical grounds. Vet: TOMBA LA BOMBA - returned not striding out on the right hind. FRIENDLY TIBBS - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. MAMBO MIME - returned not striding out on the right fore. CATSIDE SLEW - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: BIANZINO - no suitable jockey available. The course farriers on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
