POSITIVO was difficult to load. Trainer Rivalland advised to re-school this gelding. SEATTLE WOLF, JAMZIG, POSITIVO and CLASH OF KINGS were all slow into stride. REFER TO DRAWER lost 2 lengths. SEATTLE PRINCE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BLACK TIDE was pulling hard in the early stages difficult to restrain. Apprentice Godden, the rider of SEATTLE WOLF, accidentally dropped his right side rein near the 200 metre mark, which he regained shortly thereafter. Apprentice Godden signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of SEATTLE WOLF, he rode this gelding in an unprofessional manner by accidentally dropped his right side rein near the 200 metre mark. Apprentice Godden reported that he felt something amiss with SEATTLE WOLF in the latter stages. Jockey Ntuli reported that CLASH OF KINGS faltered approaching the 200 metre mark and as a result he did not persevere with his ride thereafter. Jockey Storey, the rider of REFER TO DRAWER, accidentally dropped his crop approaching the 300 metre mark. Jockey Storey signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of REFER TO DRAWER, he rode this gelding in an unprofessional manner by accidentally dropping his crop approaching the 300 metre mark. Jockey Nyawo reported that BLACK TIDE was not striding out freely in running and as a result he did not persevere with his ride in the final straight. In view of the performance of POSITIVO, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. SEATTLE WOLF returned post race having spread the left hind shoe. Vet: SEATTLE WOLF and BLACK TIDE - not striding out right hind. POSITIVO - not striding out right fore. CLASH OF KINGS - nothing obvious detected.
