CHESTNUT WILD stood awkwardly and jumped awkwardly outwards losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the performance from MY MAN ALEX, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. WHISKY BARON (AUS) rolled in and became awkwardly placed on the heels of STREAK OF SILVER at the finish. STREAK OF SILVER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MY MAN ALEX - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: SLIP 'N SLIDE - under medication. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
