MALOU was restless in the stalls. CAUSEWAY BAY, ROCK A DUNE and QUEEN'S CREST were slow into stride. ROY'S TWILIGHT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Marcus, the rider of ROY'S MONKEY (AUS), reported that the saddle slipped back shortly after the start. Jockey Forbes reported that he felt something amiss with DAENERYS in running and as a result did not persevere with his ride. Apprentice de Gouveia reported that CAN'T RESIST was making an abnormal respiratory noise at the pull up. Vet: DAENERYS and CAN'T RESIST - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ROY'S RAKARA - ineligible winner, winner 10 February 2016. LADY ALBAHA - coughing. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, except SOUTH PAW, who had to be identified with the microchip number. This matter to be followed up with Trainer Erasmus.
