A review was called into the start of this race and the Stewards established that YOURS AND MINE in stall gate 6 had been restless in the stalls and had broke open the front gate shortly before the start had been effected. The Stipendiary Board was of the opinion that YOURS AND MINE had not gained an unfair advantage and that this incident was not the fault of the starting stalls or the Handler assigned to this gelding and declared YOURS AND MINE to be a runner. ISLAND BLISS was carried out marginally approaching the 1400m by DESERT SUNSET, which was over-racing. Jockey Delpech appeared before the Board and was advised to take more care when shifting ground in races. In view of the performance of DESERT SUNSET, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Lerena reported that FRAPPACHINO raced with its tongue over the bit. Approaching the 200m ROLLIN IN DA DEEP raced in restricted galloping room and could not be ridden out to the finish when awkwardly placed on the inside of KING OF THRONES, which was carried in by SCARE TACTICS, which was hanging in from the 300m. A P EMBLEM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. REMINISCENCE raced with a Cornell collar. Vet: DESERT SUNSET - not striding out left front.
