DIE KAT (AUS) was slow losing three lengths. Assistant Trainer Azzie was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. GENERAL MISTY (AUS) was slow into stride. COLMANT jumped awkwardly. Apprentice Neethling was charged with a contravention in that he failed to ride the horse NIGHT EDITOR out to the end of the race thus prejudicing his chances of obtaining fifth place. Apprentice Neethling signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. Jockey van Rensburg reported that he felt something amiss with MINNESOTA in running. CANNES was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. TABREEK (AUS) raced equipped with alumites in front and steels behind. GENERAL MISTY (AUS) raced equipped with alumites and raced with a tongue tie on. DIE KAT (AUS) raced without a tongue tie. Vet: MINNESOTA - not striding out right front. COLMANT - post race distress. Scratched: SANDS OF TIME - insufficient recovery time. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
