Jockey Simons did not ride at today's racemeeting (medically indisposed). He was replaced on his mounts. The start of this racemeeting was delayed due to the close proximity of an electric storm. ABBEY CHASE lost two lengths. CLASS QUEEN lost one length. ROSE OF CASTILLE was awkwardly placed shortly after the start on the heels of CLASS QUEEN, which was carried in by CAMBRIDGE CHOIR, which jumped inwards. WINNING SISTER and CLASS QUEEN over-raced in the early stages. ROSE OF CASTILLE was carried in marginally approaching the 200m by CAMBRIDGE CHOIR, which was hanging in. Thereafter ROSE OF CASTILLE shifted in away from the crop making contact with the inside run rail. A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board with regards to this incident. The patrol films of the race were viewed in the presence of Trainer Peter and it was decided to take no further action. ABBEY CHASE was hanging in, in the straight. EYETUNES cast its left front shoe in running. OBLIVION cast its right hind shoe in running. Workrider Mosia was charged with a contravention in that he used his crop in an unnecessary manner, which resulted in wheals on the right flank of the horse WINNING SISTER. Workrider Mosia signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in one Workrider race. Workrider Jevu was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline G on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse CYBER BELL unnecessarily when it was out of contention for a place.
