The start of this Race was delayed due to withdrawal of KUNUNATA and the tongue tie on ANTONIUS CHARM having to be refitted. KINGS ARCHER and GASOLINE (AUS) were slow into stride. Jockey Danielson, the rider of TABREEK (AUS), accidentally dropped his crop shortly before the finish line. In view of the performance of this gelding, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine TABREEK (AUS). An inquiry will be opened to establish why DOWN UNDER and CUMBERLAND had to ease shortly before the finish line. Jockey Zackey reported that MR MULLINER did not stride out freely in running and was hanging in, in the concluding stages. CHEPARDO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ZANZIBAR MAN raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, steel behind. Vet: MR MULLINER - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. TABREEK (AUS) - examined post race, no significant findings. ANTONIUS CHARM - coughing. Scratched: WITHOUT PERMISSION (AUS) - no suitable rider available ONE SUNDAY MORNING - coughing. KUNUNATA - bolted. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
