GILDED WARRIOR and ROY'S PAST lost one length. GUN SLINGER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BLUES KING and KALI'S KING raced green on the bend. Jockey Jupp reported that BLUES KING raced with his tongue over the bit. In view of the performance of BLUES KING, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. STRATEGIC DIAMOND shifted in slightly away from the crop approaching 200 metre mark, resulting in ROY'S PAST becoming cramped and having to be eased. NIGHT BREEZE shifted out slightly passing the 150 metre mark, carrying ROY'S GALE outwards. Thereafter FIRST APOSTLE shifted in slightly carrying ROY'S GALE inwards resulting in ROY'S GALE and NIGHT BREEZE making contact and becoming unbalanced. As a result ROY'S GALE shifted out making contact with FIRST APOSTLE resulting in ROY'S GALE and FIRST APOSTLE becoming unbalanced. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward into this incident. After viewing the patrol video, no further action was taken. GUN SLINGER returned post race having spread the left fore shoe. FIRST APOSTLE returned post race having cast the right hind and left fore shoes. NIGHT BREEZE returned post race having cast the right hind shoe. TURF MOVER raced with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: STRATEGIC DIAMOND - speedy cut right fore. GUN SLINGER - overreached left fore. BLUES KING - coughing post race. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
