THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE CONFIGURATION OF THE INSIDE RUNNING RAIL BEING ATTENDED TO.
BAYEDI (*C F Dicken) was slow losing three lengths and thereafter slow into stride. Trainer C E Erasmus was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement (JB).
At approximately the 1300m, FOXY VIXEN (*P Mxoli) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of LOVE TO GIVE (M Thackeray) which rolled in.
Jockey R Danielson reported that HIGHTAIL made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
Jockey C Bantam (HOPE FOR MILLIONS) had his crop accidentally struck from his hand by Jockey M Thackeray (LOVE TO GIVE) at the 100m.
