SNORTING BULL (B Nyawo) and VILLAGE DEEP (*N Klink) were slow into stride.
GOLD GRIFFIN (*J R Syster) stood losing many lengths. The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn.
Leaving the 600m, DIAMOND DANCER (C Habib) and PALACE GREEN (*C F Dicken) were carried out by HOLD YOUR HORSES (*K Matsunyane) which rolled out marginally.
CHRISTOPHER ROBIN (P Strydom) hung in from the 400m, thereafter Jockey Strydom reported that CHRISTOPHER ROBIN made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
In view of the performance of AFRICAN ADVENTURE (D De Gouveia) (distance 6,50 lengths, betting 67/20), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
Jockey R Danielson reported that MAJOR RETURN made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
DANCE CLASS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S J Gray advised (RH).
In view of the Starter's report with regard to GOLD GRIFFIN, this gelding has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 31 July 2020 to 6 August 2020. GOLD GRIFFIN may not be presented for repassing during this period. Assistant Trainer A Peter advised (JB).
