SUPER COMMUTER, PRINCESS BEACH and GAVEA GIRL were all slow into stride. ETHYLENE lost 1 length. ZAVARONI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GAVEA GIRL over-raced in the early stages. ALPEONIE began losing ground to the field near the 700 metre mark, resulting in SUPER COMMUTER, who was racing behind this filly and to her inside, shifting in slightly resulting in GAVEA GIRL becoming cramped and having to be steadied. Thereafter ALPEONIE was not persevered with and compounded in the final straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine ALPEONIE. SPRING FLIGHT raced wide on the bend from the 700 metre mark. Jockey Storey reported that PRINCESS BEACH was making an abnormal respiratory noise. TIMEFORATIGER compounded and was not persevered with in the latter stages. ZAVARONI returned post race having cast the left fore shoe. ETHYLENE raced fitted with pacifiers. Vet: ALPEONIE - nothing obvious detected. PRINCESS BEACH - coughing. TIMEFORATIGER - not striding out right fore.
