Jockey Fortune (medically indisposed) and Jockey Wrogemann (medically indisposed) did not ride at today's race meeting. They were replaced on their mounts. DETONATION was carried in on two occasions approaching the 400m by UMTHETHO (AUS), which shifted in. Thereafter at the 300m DETONATION was forced to switch out to continue its run. Workrider Gwingwizha signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to DETONATION when he shifted in at approximately the 400m. He was suspended from riding in two Workrider races. Leaving the 400m SIR NATHAN was awkwardly placed on the inside of SPANISH BLADE, which raced to the front, compounded and commenced to give ground to the field. DAYTONA CHARGER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SHADY WORLD raced equipped with alumite shoes in front. Vet: SPANISH BLADE - abnormal respiratory noise. SHADY WORLD - speedy cut right hind. DAYTONA CHARGER - speedy cut left front. Scratched: SPRING LODGE - Stewards permission. Trainer Ferraris was advised that Workrider Ndlovu would not be able to draw the correct weight on SPRING LODGE and he was not prepared to allow the 1kg overweight as requested by the workrider.
