THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO SCOLDING BEING STUBBORN LOADING AND WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED BY THE STARTER. BLUE DUCHES was slow away and lost 1 length. SCOLDING was stubborn loading and was withdrawn by the starter. The starting stalls certificate for this filly was withdrawn. Jockey S Khathi will be issued with an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck the horse FLAME UP more than 12 times in the entire race (fifteen (15) times). A penalty of a R750 fine will be imposed. In view of the performance of ALASKAN FATE (S Naidoo) (distance 5.55 - betting 2/1) the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
