THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO BYRIDGE BEING STUBBORN LOADING. GOLDEN SABRE and WALLS OF DUBROVNIK were slow into stride. SANTA THERESE was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. HERRIN was nervous in the stalls. BYRIDGE was stubborn loading. Trainer Y Bremner was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. BYRIDGE (W Agrella) overraced in the early stages. Between the 500m to the 300m, TARANTINO (L Mxothwa) and HERREN (X Ndlovu) came together and brushed on a number of occasions. Jockey S Fortune will be issued with an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck the horse WALLS OF DUBROVNIK more than 12 times in the entire race (fourteen (14) times). A penalty of a warning will be imposed.
