SPIRITOS flyjumped leaving the stalls losing 3 lengths. REHOBOTH BEACH and CALIGARI CARNIVAL were both slow into stride. BRIGTNUMBERFIVE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. TIGRESS DANCER became momentarily cramped for galloping room on the inside running rail at approximately the 600 metre mark. UPPER ECHELON and SCARLET RIVERA over-raced in the early stages. ALPEONIE was not persevered with in the straight. Apprentice Godden, the rider of UPPER ECHELON, Apprentice Ngwane, the rider of RUBY GEM, Jockey Yeni, the rider of JUDS EXPRESS, and Jockey Forbes, the rider of SCARLET RIVERA, reported that their respective mounts did not act in the prevailing soft underfoot track conditions. Apprentice Mjoka reported that he felt something amiss with FIELD CAT in running. Vet: UPPER ECHELON, ALPEONIE, JUDS EXPRESS, FIELD CAT and SCARLET RIVERA - nothing obvious detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
