The start of the 3rd Race was slightly delayed as a result of the farrier having to replace the right fore shoe on BIZJET prior to this gelding leaving the parade ring. CHILL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LANCAT was pulling hard in the early and middle stages, difficult to restrain and thereafter compounded in the straight. ROY'S TAXI was hanging out in the straight. IN TRIBUTE was hanging in, in the straight. ROY'S TAXI, who was hanging out, shifted out slightly near the 100 metre mark. Thereafter CHILL shifted in slightly, resulting in PYRENEES IN SPAIN becoming cramped and having to be eased. ROCKY BAY was inconvenienced on the outside of SHREYA'S STAR shortly before the finish. In view of the performance of LANCAT, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Apprentice Mjoka reported that HIGHLAND FLING took no interest in running. Vet: LANCAT - nothing obvious detected. ROY'S TAXI - badly cut into right hind. HIGHLAND FLING - not striding out left fore.
