THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. BERGERAC (L J Ferraris) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. NORDIC REBEL (R Simons) was slow losing 1 length. Shortly after the start NORDIC REBEL (R Simons) was bumped out by BERGERAC (L J Ferraris) which jumped outwards. Apprentice L J Ferraris reported that BERGERAC took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. EXPRESSFROMTHEUS (*C F Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
