JUNGLE MIST lifted its left front shoe en-route to the start which had to be attended to by the Course Farrier which caused a delay. NTOMA and SHATOOSH were restless in the stalls. Trainer's Laird and Azzie were advised to re-school their mounts prior to their next engagements. FIRST DANCE (AUS) lost four lengths. Trainer Peter was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported that he felt something amiss with NTOMA in running. In view of the performance of MAMDOOHA (AUS), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. In the concluding stages ALDIARA and KALANCHOE were awkwardly placed between HONOLUA BAY, which was hanging in, and LEXICON, which shifted out marginally. JUNGLE MIST shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. SHATOOSH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ALDIARA raced without cheek pieces. Vet: NTOMA - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. MAMDOOHA (AUS) - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: JIN-GO-LO-BA and LEMONADE RIVER - off feed. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
