THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. ALL ABOUT SOPHIA (M Mjoka) was slow into stride. FLORENCE (C Habib) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. Trainer L J Human was issued with an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate the horse QUEEN RACHEL against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Assistant Trainer L J Human (Jnr) acting on behalf of Trainer Human signed the Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1000 was imposed. Shortly after the start, HEAR THE TRUMPET (D L Habib) was awkwardly placed and had to steady between MOGGIE BROWN (C Bantam) and MERCER GIRL (*T Juglall) which hung in throughout. At approximately the 250m, FLORENCE (C Habib), LITTLE RAIN (C Murray), PERSICA (S Khumalo) and ROKSOLANA (*N Klink) were carried in significantly by ALLEZ LES BLEU (AUS) (*C F Dicken) which shifted in away from the crop. As a consequence of this, PERSICA (S Khumalo) became unbalanced when having to ease along the inside running rail. Apprentice C F Dicken was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of ALLEZ LES BLEU (AUS), failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FLORENCE (C Habib), LITTLE RAIN (C Murray), PERSICA (S Khumalo) and ROKSOLANA (*N Klink) when he shifted in at the 250m. Apprentice Dicken signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. Suspended from 16 August 2020 to 22 August 2020 (both days inclusive). PHILLYDELPHIA (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter advised (AH). QUEEN RACHEL was ridden by Apprentice J R Syster. FLORENCE raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 10 August 2020 at 04H55). SCRATCHED: MUSAYTARA coughing (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies).
