ETHYLENE was slow into stride. OBREGA stood losing four lengths. Trainer Scott is to be advised to re-school this filly. ZAGORA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Hewitson, the rider of JOYFUL MYSTERY, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. In view of the performance of MONEY PENNY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Apprentice Godden reported BLUE BEACH took no interest in running. Jockey Forbes reported that he felt something amiss with HANNAH'S ANSWER in running. Jockey Yeni reported MADAME LE ROI was not striding out freely in running. OBREGA over-raced in the early stages, thereafter compounded in the straight and was not persevered with over the final 300 metres. Trainer Scott was requested to report back to the Board should he find something amiss with this filly on return to stables. Jockey van Niekerk, the rider of OBREGA, reported that his saddle slipped backwards in running. REBEL RAIN over-raced in the early and middle stages. Jockey Lembethe, the rider of REBEL RAIN, accidentally dropped his left side rein shortly before the finish. MADAME LE ROI was momentarily cramped on the outside of MONEY PENNY shortly before entering the straight. HANNAH'S ANSWER and MADAME LE ROI returned post race having cast the cast their left fore shoes. ETHYLENE raced without pacifiers. Vet: BLUE BEACH, HANNAH'S ANSWER and MADAME LE ROI - nothing obvious detected. MONEY PENNY - cut into right hind, not striding out right hind.
