TRUE MASTER and ACAPULCO spread their left fore shoe en-route to the start, which were fitted by the Course Farrier, which delayed the start. JET AVENGER was stubborn loading, delayed the start. WESTERN WU was slow away and lost 2 lengths. TURNSTONE was slow away and lost 1 length. SEATTLE STORM stumbled leaving the stalls. In view of the Starter's report concerning JET AVENGER, the starting stalls certificate is withdrawn and is to be recertified tractable prior to racing again. BRIAR KING was baulked for a clear run between the 350 and 200 metre marks. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported TRUE MASTER faltered approaching the 200 metre mark and did not kick on thereafter. Jockey Naidoo and Jockey Khathi reported that they felt something amiss with ACAPULCO and TURNSTONE respectively. Jockey Khumalo reported PLAYINGTHEENEMY (AUS) made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. Jockey Khathi reported TURNSTONE raced with the tongue over the bit. ROMEO BRAVO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: TRUE MASTER - speedy cut left fore inner pastern. ACAPULCO and TURNSTONE - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. BRIAR KING, ROMEO BRAVO and PLAYINGTHEENEMY (AUS) - abnormal respiratory noise.
