KING OF CHAOS was slow away and lost 1 length. EIGHTH WONDER over-raced in the early stages. DRAGON FLAME raced awkwardly on the turn. PAULUS brushed the inside running rail at the 1100 metre mark and Jockey Zackey reported this gelding was not striding out freely in the running. The saddle on RHUMBA MAGIC slipped back in the running. Approaching the 200 metre mark WELSH EMPEROR continued his run to the inside of DRAGON FLAME, became cramped for galloping room and brushed the inside running rail at the 200 metre mark. STIR IT UP became cramped for galloping room passing the 250 metre mark between KING OF CHAOS and RHUMBA MAGIC and was forced to ease for several strides. BRILLIANT CRIMSON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: DRAGON FLAME - abnormal respiratory noise. EVICTION - blood in mouth. PAULUS - checked post race, nothing obvious detected.
