HARRISON, MILLRACE and LILY GRAY lost one length. HO'OPONOPONO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Schwarz, the rider of HARRISON, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. SUBLIME CODE was hanging in throughout. ALDRIC, hanging in, shifted in approaching the 150 metre mark carrying SUBLIME CODE inwards, resulting in SUBLIME CODE, ROY'S POWER, TEXAS COWBOY and MR HARRY all making contact and MR HARRY and ROY'S POWER becoming cramped and having to be eased. Thereafter ROY'S POWER was switched out to obtain a clear run. Apprentice Neethling signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of ALDRIC, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses SUBLIME CODE and ROY'S POWER at approximately the 150 metre mark. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. ALDRIC shifted in shortly before the finish resulting in SUBLIME CODE being inconvenienced. Apprentice Godden reported that ROY'S MARCIANO did not act in the prevailing soft underfoot track conditions. In view of the performance of MILLRACE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Vet: MILLRACE - nothing obvious detected.
