OBLADI OBLADA and LUNA SEA lost one length. HIT IT RUNNING lost three lengths. ROY'S PINS lost two lengths. LUNA SEA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. VARISCITE was switched to the inside of LUNA SEA to obtain a clear run approaching the 300 metre mark. Thereafter LUNA SEA shifted in, carrying VARISCITE inwards, resulting in POP STAR becoming cramped and having to be eased. Jockey Yeni, the rider of LUNA SEA, appeared before the Board with regard to the above incident and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in races in future. HIT IT RUNNING took no interest in running. In view of this the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. OBLADI OBLADA was hanging in throughout. SAINT KALI was momentarily cramped and made contact with ROY'S LIGHT at approximately the 150 metre mark. Apprentice Ngwane replaced Jockey Kennedy on HIT IT RUNNING as result of no jockey being available. Vet: HIT IT RUNNING - nothing obvious detected. POP STAR - abnormal respiratory noise. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
