YOLTA, which was restless in the stalls, stood awkwardly, which made it difficult for the rider to put his foot into the right side stirrup iron, the filly nudged the front gate open, was held by the Handler, and the gates were quickly reclosed. Jockey Noach was then able to place his foot in the stirrup iron, causing a delay to the start. LA DE DA was reluctant to load. FLATWARE jumped outwards losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. FLOREANA jumped outwards losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the report from the Starter regarding YOLTA, Trainer Ramsden will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. In view of the performance from YOLTA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Approaching the 1000m YOLTA and APACHE DREAM had to steady on the inside of RYANAIR, which proved difficult to settle in the early stages and rolled in slightly. Approaching the 350m FLATWARE was held up for a clear run and had to be switched out. Thereafter FLATWARE had to be steadied when running onto the heels of OVER THE WAY in the concluding stages. Jockey Kennedy briefly dropped his right side rein approaching the 200m. LARENTINA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: YOLTA - returned with a mouth injury. Trainer Marshall reported that FYNBOS returned cut on the right hind.
