SEVEN KINGS was slow losing one length. ROCK COUNTRY was slow into stride. ONE MAN'S DREAM was difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. In view of the performance of ONE MAN'S DREAM, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Munger reported that he felt something amiss with YESAN STAR in running and did not persevere with in riding in the concluding stages. Jockey Khumalo reported that TOUR DE VAR made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. CAPE SISKIN was hanging out in the concluding stages. OCTOBER ELEVENTH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The new Ownership of TOUR DE VAR should read: Mr F du Toit; and the Colours are: dayglo orange, black diagonal spots, black sleeves, orange spots, black cap, orange spots Sold with engagements. TOUR DE VAR raced with Club colours. Vet: ONE MAN'S DREAM - not striding out right hind. YESAN STAR - lame right front. TOUR DE VAR - no abnormal respiratory noise detected post race. CAPE SISKIN - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: JET ON FIRE - swollen knee.
