Jockey Kennedy was examined prior to Race 1 and was declared fit to ride. HIGHWAY EIGHTYFIVE and ROY'S MAMBO were slow into stride. ZELIG was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DESERT WINTER and SARACEN KING made contact leaving the starting stalls resulting in DESERT WINTER being slow into stride. HIGHWAY EIGHTYFIVE and ROY'S MAMBO raced green. SARACEN KING was hanging out throughout. WESTONAIRE was not persevered with in the latter stages. In view of this the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Vet: WESTONAIRE - nothing obvious detected. ST PETER'S BAY - not striding out right fore.
