YOURS AND MINE broke through the front gate, was restrained by the rider, returned to the start, inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded, which caused a delay to the start of this race. HMS HOOD lost 3 lengths. Trainer Wiid was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. RESISTER was carried in at approximately the 300m by RED ROOM, which switched in to continue its run. Jockey Sturgeon reported that he felt something amiss with YOURS AND MINE in running. Jockey Maujean reported that HMS HOOD did not stride out freely in running. SEVENTH PILLAR and RED ROOM were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HMS HOOD raced equipped with steel shoes in front, unshod behind. Vet: YOURS AND MINE - examined post race, no significant findings. RESISTER - abnormal respiratory noise. FEATHERFLIGHT - abnormal respiratory noise; speedy cut left front. HMS HOOD - not striding out both front.
