EARTH STAR (O Noach) broke through the front of the stalls. Fair start. EARTH STAR (O Noach) broke through the front of the stalls, dislodged the rider, cantered a short distance back to the parade ring, was examined by the course veterinary surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded, causing a delay. In view of the report from the starter regarding EARTH STAR (O Noach), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable. Suspension dates: 05/08/2020 to 11/08/2020 inclusive). EARTH STAR may not be presented for re-passing during this period. DYNASTIC LIGHT (G Cheyne) was hanging in and shifted in at the top of the straight. Approaching the 50m, DYNASTIC LIGHT (G Cheyne) shifted out away from the crop and brushed ELUSIVE FORTUNE (G van Niekerk) outwards. Jockey G van Niekerk was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline C on the use of the crop) in that he struck ELUSIVE FORTUNE more than 3 times on consecutive strides approaching the 100m mark. Jockey van Niekerk signed an admission of guilt and was fined R2000,00. ELUSIVE FORTUNE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith was advised.
