CHESA was restless in the stalls, broke open the front gates and was restrained in the stalls, which were re-closed. YOUR WORSHIP, NIGHT TIDE and DHAAMER were slow into stride. NISHAC stood losing five lengths. FORBIDDEN DUEL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BERMUDA was hanging out throughout. BERMUDA shifted out away from the crop shortly before the finish, brushing FORBIDDEN DUEL, which resulted in FORBIDDEN DUEL becoming momentarily cramped for galloping room. Apprentice Habib, the rider of BERMUDA, appeared before the Board and was advised to take stronger measures to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in races in future. In view of the performances of CHESA, ROY'S HORSE (AUS) and FORESTRY LAW, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. In view of the Starter's report concerning NISHAC, this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion. Vet: CHESA - nothing obvious detected. ROY'S HORSE (AUS) - not striding out left fore. FORESTRY LAW - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: BATTLE HAMMER - elevated temperature. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
