GRAND JURY lost 1 length. LAST SUMMER was slow into stride. DAENERYS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Forbes was questioned regarding the improved performance of DAENERYS compared to this filly's previous run on the 1st April 2016. She explained that in this filly's previous race on the 1st April 2016 she had over-raced and as a result had tired in the closing stages. For today's race she had eased off this filly's work and DAENERYS had settled in the early stages which had accounted for the improved performance. Mrs Forbes' explanation was noted and her attention was drawn to the rules pertaining to in and out running. Jockey Randolph reported that he felt something amiss with EXTRA EXPLOSIVE in running. GALLIC FIRE became momentarily cramped along the inside running rail near the 800 metre mark. DAENERYS was switched out abruptly off the heels of a tiring FLY REBECCA FLY entering the straight, resulting in NEWTONS LADY shifting out. GRAND JURY was hanging in, in the straight. Vet: CAUSEWAY BAY - abnormal respiratory noise. EXTRA EXPLOSIVE - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: SILVERSUZI - mouth abscess.
