The start was delayed due to CHESTNUT'S VOW having cast the right fore shoe en route to the start and the Course Farrier having to re-fit it. CHESTNUT'S VOW was slow into stride. KING OF THE NORTH was nervous in the stalls. CHESTNUT'S VOW jumped outwards from the stalls into WARM PEG and was slow into stride. SOVIET COSMONAUT was hanging inwards in the home straight. Jockey Munger was brought before the Board shown the patrol film of his riding of KING OF THE NORTH over the final 300 metres and advised not to look around whilst riding out a finish. Apprentice Ramsamy was brought before the Board, shown the patrol film of his riding of LORDOFTHEGOOGLIE in the closing stages and advised to ensure that he rides his mount out to the finish. OCCASIONAL REBEL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. WARM PEG raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. Vet: KING OF THE NORTH - blood in mouth.
