TO THE MAX (K de Melo) and FATEFUL MISTRESS (T Godden) lost 1 length. WYLIE'S WONDER (*M H Zuma) and LADY OF LUTETIA (A Marcus) shifted in independently in the concluding stages. INGAKARA (W Kennedy) was hanging in, in the final straight. Approaching the 400m, EXCESSIVE GRACE (A Arries) was inconvenienced and carried out by STRAWBERRYPOPTART (D Dillon) which was tiring and shifted out slightly. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning QUE-TEE, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller was advised. Trainer Gareth van Zyl was questioned regarding the improved performance of WYLIE'S WONDER (*M H Zuma), the winner, compared to this filly's previous run on the 01.07.20 over 2000m. He explained that this filly had over-raced in her previous run and as a result he removed the blinkers for today's race. He attributed the improvement shown to this and has undertaken to race WYLIE'S WONDER without blinkers when racing over similar distances in her immediate future engagements. The future performances of WYLIE'S WONDER will be monitored. WYLIE'S WONDER (*M H Zuma) the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Gareth van Zyl advised (SC). Jockey W Kennedy replaced Apprentice K Strydom on INGAKARA (advised 07h48/05.08.2020). INGAKARA raced fitted with blinkers (advised 09h43/31.08.2020). GOLDEN DUCK raced fitted with blinkers (advised 08h27/05.08.2020). WYLIE'S WONDER did not race fitted with blinkers (advised 19h08/04.08.2020). VET : QUE-TEE : Bilateral epistaxis.
