Jockey Sturgeon did not ride at tonight's meeting (Medically indisposed). ADDERLEY STREET, RIBOT'S REBEL, JUST POSTIVE and JUSTLIKELUKE were slow into stride. GIVEUWINGS lost one length. MEHMED lost four lengths. STOKVEL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. CARLIN shifted out slightly at approximately the 350 metre mark, resulting in KING JOFRY becoming cramped for galloping room for a number of strides. STOKVEL, hanging out, shifted out approaching the 250 metre mark, which resulted in KING JOFRY becoming cramped for galloping room between STOKVEL and JUST POSITIVE. Thereafter STOKVEL continued to shift out resulting in KING JOFRY having to switch in to obtain a clear run. Over the final 50 metres STOKVEL shifted in, away from the crop, carrying KING JOFRY inwards. A race review was called into the above incident which was followed by an objection lodged by a Stipendiary Steward on behalf of the second placed horse, KING JOFRY, against the winner, STOKVEL, on the grounds of interference in the latter stages. The Board after considering all the evidence and the distance between these two horses at the finish, was of the opinion that but for the interference KING JOFRY would have beaten STOKVEL and therefore upheld the objection and the Judge's result was amended. In view of the Starter's report concerning MEHMED, this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion. Scratched: ROY'S JACKPOT - not striding out right fore and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
