ROYAL TIGER (R Simons) was slow losing one length. BLUE MOON CITY (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer P A Peter, advised (AH). Assistant Trainer A Peter was questioned regarding the improved performance of BLUE MOON CITY (C Maujean). Assistant Trainer A Peter explained to the Board that BLUE MOON CITY over raced and compounded in his first two starts, the Trainer then subsequently opted for different tactics in his last race and today's race by dropping this gelding out and having it to run on strongly. Assistant Trainer A Peter also highlighted that in his opinion, he thought this was a particularly weak field. These two factors attributed to an improved performance from BLUE MOON CITY. Assistant Trainer A Peter's explanation was noted. G I JOE (S Khumalo), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer A G Laird, advised (DR). TURF MASTER was ridden by Jockey C Habib (declared 3 August 2020 at 10H42).
