CHAP TRAP reared in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was declared fit to race. GIO PONTI'S LEGACY (AUS), MARSHALL THAT and SECRET CAPTAIN lost one length. SECRET CAPTAIN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MARSHALL THAT and THE CARPENTER raced green. THE CARPENTER was hanging out in the latter stages. STARSKY was hanging in, in the latter stages. Jockey Storey, the rider of GOLDEN BALL, reported that the bit pulled through this colt's mouth shortly after the start and thereafter he was unable to fully assist his mount in running. In view of the performance of SARACEN KING, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. In view of the Starter's report concerning CHAP TRAP, this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion. GIO PONTI'S LEGACY AUS is a gelding and not a colt as carded (Administrative error). STARSKY and WIND RIVER are geldings and not colts as carded. Jockey Kennedy was the rider of CHAP TRAP. Vet: SARACEN KING - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: CHECKTHEGREENLIGHT - insufficient recovery time.
