NICE STRIDE pulled its left front shoe and then subsequently its right front shoe, which were attended to by the Course Farrier, causing a delay to the start of this race. MANX PARK and EXCALIVAR lost 1 length. CAPTAIN'S DIVA lost 3 lengths. Assistant Trainer van der Westhuizen was advised that this filly must be re-schooled prior to its next engagement. After being slow away, CAPTAIN'S DIVA failed to muster speed and gave ground to the field. Apprentice Mjoka dropped his crop at approximately the 150m and reported that MALTA ROCKS made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. ALL NIGHT FLIGHT was hanging in from the 200m. BLAZING BRAVE was bumped approaching the 150m by CHIEF SIOUX, which was carried in by JUST AFRICA, which shifted in sharply and was immediately straightened. FIDELIO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. EXCALIVAR raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: MALTA ROCKS - no respiratory noise detected post race. MANX PARK and EXTREME DUBAI (AUS) - abnormal respiratory noise. JUST AFRICA and MAGIC - coughing.
