CATSIDE SLEW cast the left fore shoe on the way to the start, which the farrier replaced. ROYAL DREAMER and CIGAR BOY jumped awkwardly losing two lengths and thereafter were slow into stride. CATSIDE SLEW was slow into stride. In view of the performance from ROYAL DREAMER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. MILTON raced wide on the latter part of the bend and elected to race on the outside of the course up the straight. Apprentice van der Hoven, the rider of CIGAR BOY, was charged with a contravention, in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Apprentice van der Hoven signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. JET AIR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GIFTED FOR GLORY raced fitted with a tongue tie. Vet: ROYAL DREAMER - returned not striding out behind. Scratched: BIANZINO - not eating up.
