BRUNO was slow losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the performance from MUTZI, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Shortly after the start Jockey Steyn was dislodged when HAMMIE'S GAME was bumped inwards by SHALL BE FREE, which was carried in by MUTZI, which was eased off the heels of MAGICAL BET. BRUNO, which was racing behind HAMMIE'S GAME, was forced to ease to avoid the fallen rider. The Board has adjourned to review the patrol films of this incident. Approaching the 800m MUTZI was carried wide for a number of strides by the riderless HAMMIE'S GAME. In the concluding stages PALADIN was inconvenienced for a number of strides on the inside of the riderless HAMMIE'S GAME. OUR ICON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MUTZI - returned not striding out on both fore and was making an abnormal respiratory noise. OUR ICON - returned having cast the right hind shoe. Scratched: OVERSHADOW - not eating up. PRINCE OF EDEN - coughing. WINTER'S COMING - elevated temperature. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis. Several Work Riders were selected for a breathalyser test.
