MASTER SUPREME (C Murray) hung in from the 400m. SHOGUN (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer P A Peter, advised (AH). SEVENTH OF JUNE (AUS) (*K Matsunyane) raced clear of the field in the early and middle stages and tired in the straight. When questioned regarding his riding instructions, Apprentice K Matsunyane told the Stewards that his instructions were to go to the front, use this gelding's natural speed and set an even pace throughout. He further added that this gelding raced keenly with the blinkers and this resulted in him racing further ahead of the field than intended. Assistant Trainer A Peter was questioned regarding the riding instructions given to Apprentice K Matsunyane and he confirmed these instructions as set out above. The explanation of both Rider and Trainer were noted. However Assistant Trainer A Peter was advised that adequate riding instructions need to be given and horses are to be ridden in such a manner as to benefit its best interest in a race. SEVENTH OF JUNE (AUS) raced equipped with blinkers (declared 7 August 2020 at 09H09). SCRATCHED: DIAMOND DANCER retired (advised 7 August 2020 at 09H10).
