There was a slight delay as a result of THE CONGLOMERATE (AUS) and ST TROPEZ having to be re-saddled prior to leaving the parade ring. IT IS WRITTEN, ST TROPEZ and GOLD ONYX were slow into stride. SOLID SPEED and ST TROPEZ were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MASTER'S EYE and DYNASTIC POWER over-raced in the early stages and were hanging in, in the final straight. THE CONGLOMERATE (AUS) was hanging out in the latter stages. SOLID SPEED and ST TROPEZ shifted out independently in the latter stages and raced in close proximity shortly before the finish. A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board which was followed by a race review by Jockey de Melo, rider of the second placed horse ST TROPEZ, into this incident. After reviewing the patrol videos from the various angles both parties took no further action. In view of the performance of SILVER SPRING, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Yeni reported that HALVE THE DEFICIT was not striding out freely in the latter stages. Jockey Randolph reported that IT IS WRITTEN was not striding out freely post-race. THE CONGLOMERATE (AUS) raced fitted with cheek-pieces. Vet: HALVE THE DEFICIT - nothing obvious detected. IT IS WRITTEN - not striding out right fore. SILVER SPRING - nothing obvious detected.
