The start of this Race was delayed due to Jockey Forbes, the rider of BUSTER BROWN, being dislodged and injured en route to the start, which resulted in a replacement rider, Apprentice Habib, being weighed out. JACK THE KNIFE and LOKSHINA lost one length. SEMONKONG lost two lengths. ROY'S STRIKE FORCE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Hewitson has now ridden his 40th winner and will therefore claim a 1.5kg allowance until the conclusion of the race meeting at which he rides his 60th winner. BUSTER BROWN over-raced in the early and middle stages. Jockey Kennedy reported ALL TRUE MAN not striding freely in running. Jockey Veale reported that JACK THE KNIFE took no interest in running. Vet: ALL TRUE MAN, BURRA BOY and JACK THE KNIFE - nothing obvious detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
