UNBROKEN PROMISES (O Noach) was fractious in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the veterinary surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded, causing a delay CLOUD SEEDER (A Domeyer), which was hanging in and I DID WHAT I DID (D Ashby), which was hanging out, brushed on three occasions at the 200m, leaving the 150m and approaching the 50m. Jockeys A Domeyer and D Ashby appeared before the Board and were advised to take the appropriate measures to prevent their mounts from shifting ground in future. Jockey D Ashby, the rider of I DID WHAT I DID, reported that this gelding did not stride out in the latter stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. In view of the report from the starter regarding UNBROKEN PROMISES (O Noach), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable. Suspension dates: 12/08/2020 to 18/08/2020 inclusive). UNBROKEN PROMISES may not be presented for re-passing during this period. NEVIL MU, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P Botha was advised.
