JAY'S CLUB, which was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Trainer Snaith will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before its next engagement. GYRE was slow into stride. HERO QUEST ducked in sharply approaching the 700m and hit the inside running rail, which resulted in the gelding being severely unbalanced. JAY'S CLUB raced wide throughout and hung out badly in the straight. Jockey Fayd'Herbe did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. In view of the performance from THE ART OF FLYING, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. OMAHA TRIBE raced green. MEGA SECRET was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: JAY'S CLUB and THE ART OF FLYING - inspected post race and no significant finding were detected. HERO QUEST - returned cut into on the left fore. Scratched: ARCHIE - abscess on the right fore.
