The saddle on GOLD FORCE had to be refitted at the start causing a slight delay. CHESTNUT GLOWS jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. SABRINA FAIR raced with her head up and proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. Jockey van Niekerk reported that GOLD FORCE did not stride out freely in running. Jockey Herholdt reported that he felt something amiss with EVIES ROCK in running. CELTIC CHARM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: GOLD FORCE and EVIES ROCK - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: PRUDENCE PREVAILS - not eating up.
