The start of this Race was delayed due to PLANNER proving stubborn to load. APPLE CRUMBLE subsequently broke through the front gate, was restrained by the rider, returned to the start, inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded, causing a further delay to the start of this race. PLANNER was stubborn loading. Trainer Botes was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. APPLE CRUMBLE broke through the front gate, was restrained by the rider, returned to the start, inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. APPLE CRUMBLE subsequently jumped awkwardly. Assistant Trainer Azzie was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. In view of the performance from MIRACLE BUREAU, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer Soma was requested to report back on the condition of MIRACLE BUREAU on return to the stables. YANKEE CAPTAIN spread its right front shoe in running. MR MULLINER was momentarily inconvenienced at approximately the 200m by CASHIN, which was awkwardly placed on the outside of APPLE CRUMBLE. ARAMOUSE was hanging in from the 200m. YANKEE CAPTAIN and APPLE CRUMBLE came together and bumped shortly before the finish. An inquiry will be opened to establish why CASHIN had to ease leaving the 100m. APPLE CRUMBLE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MIRACLE BUREAU - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. APPLE CRUMBLE - abnormal respiratory noise.
