FORT ROSS was stubborn loading. SCOTT'S PINE was restless in the stalls. SUPER SONIC (AUS) was stubborn loading and lost 1 length. HAPPY KING lost 1 length. BUBBLY REPLY was difficult to settle in the early stages. Jockey Munger reported that URIAH HEEP changed stride continually in running and did not persevere with his ride from the 200m. Jockey Danielson reported that SIR NATHAN took no interest in running and did not persevere with his ride from the 400m. FORT ROSS was hanging in from the 300m and Jockey Simons reported that this gelding raced with its tongue over the bit. Jockey Strydom, the rider of BUBBLY REPLY, Apprentice Mjoka, the rider of SUPER SONIC (AUS), and Jockey Simons, the rider of FORT ROSS, appeared before the Board, shown the patrol film of the race and reminded of their obligation to ride their mounts out to the end of the race. GO FLY A KITE (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: URIAH HEEP and SIR NATHAN - examined post race, no significant findings. FORT ROSS - abnormal respiratory noise.
