SKY was bumped at the break. Jockey Brown, the rider of AL SALAAM, reported this horse grabbed the bit and was difficult to settle in the early stages of the race. DETENTE jumped awkwardly as the start was effected. SUPA WONDER pecked at the 1000 metre mark. BELLE EPOQUE was hanging in severely in the final 400 metres. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was asked to examine this horse. GYPSY BALLAD pecked at the 250 metre mark. SLICK was not striding out throughout. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was asked to examine this horse. DOMBOSHAVA was striding short after the race. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was asked to examine this horse. MAJOR VAUGHAN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SLICK and BELLE EPOQUE - was examined post race and nothing untoward found. DOMBOSHAVA - examined post race and found bleeding from a small cut on left corner of mouth. GYPSY BALLAD - examined post race and a speedy cut to left fore fetlock was found.
